So then it was Halloween, one of the BIG THINGS over here. The weekend for some had spent endless hours preparing a costume. A bit like Fashing in Germany, but without so much alcohol as it is forbidden to drink in the public =/. Whatever, after a failed day of Sailing (Markus capsized while making the Jibb-test that was required this day due to the wind) we wnt to Hay market to buy fish and then off to Salem, where the main event of the entire year is Halloween. It seems like americans on this day either dress up, or undress... For me either is fine, maybe the undress a bit more interesting. I have never seen so short skirts, or absence of skirts in one evening... ;-)

Some kind of Vampire, he won a prize
Dressed up #1
Then on the way home we stopped at Longfellow bridge and took some pictures of Downtown Boston

Sunday... Time for Fish Wars: Episode 2.
This time i got 2 fishes, Sheepshead. A fish that supposedly is a mess to take care of but tastes good. Unfortunately Markus did read that AFTER I started to take care of it. Took me about 1 hour but in the end the filets where ready for the pan. Sheepshead is a fish that gets to 75 cm in length and that primarily eats crustaceans. It has big powerful teeth and is almost entirely a southern spieces and can be found from the mid Atlantic to Texas.

--------------------------
We served it with a white wine from southern Australia, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. I give the dish a 4, mostly due to the handling. The next time I will not buy such a "powerful" fish. The bones were large but hard to cut, it was for example impossible to cut off the fins...
Thats all, will try to get some pictures of my apartment next time... and hopefully I will by then have my own internet connection....
